My question is, “is this type of revolution will change everything and will be everlasting?” The word 'revolution' came from a Latin word Revolutio that means ‘to turn around’. Briefly, the first revolution was started by Copernicus in 1543, which was what we call a scientific revolution. Aristotle described that revolution have two types:

Political revolution

Scientific revolution

Neither these two is our topics. It is the human tendency to fight back when they were struggling and being harmed physically or mentally, but do they sure that the revolution will everlasting? In my opinion, there are three types of preparations of ‘revolution’ to make it will stand still. When we look back at the meaning of revolution, we need to turn ourselves around. To where? To the beginning, from zero to hero. This revolution should be done on ourselves first. Why? Logically we will find ourselves in the right path, and surely we want people around us to follow our path.

The first step of the preparation

: We need to build ourselves in two aspects, which both of these aspects need the same instrument, KNOWLEDGE. A person without knowledge, can’t even settle a little thing in his life which means he can’t make such an impact in his life and to person that live around him. "Show me a person who can’t bother to do little things and I will show you a man who can’t bother to do big things." Many of the revolutionaries are young scholars. They are full of knowledge. For example in The China and The French Revolution, they built their own doctrine and persuaded people to support them. Age is among the factor of success in ‘revolution’ .But now, the main focus is knowledge, and how we are going to gain it?

The CREATOR always love His creatures, that's why He gave us three “devices” that will help us to gain knowledge and be thankful to Him. Let us look in the QURAN chapter 16: verse 78

وَاللَّهُ أَخْرَجَكُمْ مِنْ بُطُونِ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ شَيْئًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

“ And Allah has brought you out from the wombs of your mothers while you know nothing. And He gave you hearing, sight and hearts that you might give thanks[to Allah]”

These 3 instruments will ‘inhale’ knowledge to ourselves. But the major part is [الأفئدة]-heart[literally]. For example, a person without hearing and sight can still gain knowledge by using Braille system and put his heart together to interpret the knowledge. But a person with sight and hearing but no heart will gain nothing. The second aspect will exactly show up after you got the knowledge, THINK. I’m not talking about the usual way of thinking, because the usual way of thinking is just for a short term plan. I want you all to think beyond the border. You will figure it out when you reach the second and third preparations, so I don’t need to explain it, because every person have their own style, most important is to be in this scope: ‘beyond the border.’

The second step of the preparation

: Organize our family. Of course, as a normal human being we have the feeling to build our own family. This step will take place after we have settled and finished the first preparation [but this doesn’t mean that we will stop building and improving ourselves] . Surely, we need to shape our family to goodness. Being a ‘organization’ that produce a good deeds. Put them away from the evil.

Allah The Almighty said in Quran Chapter 66: Verse 6

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا قُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ نَارًا

which mean “O you who believe! Ward off yourselves and your families against a Fire[Hell]

This means that our family is an institution that either will help or ‘destroy’ our ‘revolution’. They might be the one who will make our primary objective from “revolution” vanish from our daily work. The Almighty Allah warned us in Chapter 64: Verses 14-15

(14 )يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا إِنَّ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِكُمْ وَأَوْلَادِكُمْ عَدُوًّا لَكُمْ فَاحْذَرُوهُمْ وَإِنْ تَعْفُوا وَتَصْفَحُوا وَتَغْفِرُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ

(15) إِنَّمَا أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَأَوْلَادُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ وَاللَّهُ عِنْدَهُ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ

which means: [14]O you who believe! Verily, among your wives and your children there are enemies for you [who may stop you from the obedience of Allah], but if you pardon [them] and overlook, and forgive [their faults], then verily, Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.[15] your wealth and your children are only a trial, whereas Allah! With Him is a great reward[paradise]

This second step of preparation will make huge impact in our mission. Because family is the companion that will always back us in every decision or in everywhere we walk.

The third step of preparation

: Persuade or Preach the community about this ‘revolution’

This is something that you can’t leave at the roadside of your ‘work’ – people around you. It is cruel to leave them without understanding their objective[hadaf-ghayah] in this life. You might walk your way to Allah with dignity alongside with your family, but are you going to let people around you walking with humiliated faces when they meet Allah in the Day of Resurrection? Of course not, because Allah will ask you for that. You’re the one who is reading The Holy Scripture everyday, you’re the one who understands the Demand from Allah through the Quran, but you just kept it in yourself and your family without spreading it to the people around you. Unfortunately, this is not our ‘revolution’ style. This is not the style of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. When he spread a ‘revolution’ in Makkah, there was no people in Makkah who had not heard what he was saying. Why? Because Prophet Muhammad PBUH wanted them to turn themselves around from polytheism to pure Islam. This is our touch stone, the way of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. He is the one who was thinking beyond the border and had the plan for the next 13 years, He is the one who bother to do small things and of course have the ability to do big things. He build the most feared community in that period. Because every people understood their ‘objective’, and every second, this community renew their ‘revolution’. They ‘turn around’ from batil to haq.

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ

[Truly , Allah loves those who turn to Him in repentance and loves those who purify themselves]

Chapter 2 : verse 222

Every of this people understood his work because every person did his work. Everyone knew how this ‘revolution’ work. Because this ‘turn’ is to Allah, The Creator. And Allah will exactly help the one who turn to Him and depend on Him.

وَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ يُسْرًا

[and whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make his matter easy for him]

Chapter 65 : verse 4

This is the only way that will make our ‘revolution’ will everlasting, because this is the only way to unite the Ummah. UNDERSTAND OUR ‘WORK’ AND WORK IT OUT!
